Mixed Media on Canvas 10 x 10 x 1.75 $300.00 USD Not For Sale
This painting I've held onto for a long time because it reminds me of my mom. She gave me a bright yellow cotton handkerchief many years ago that had brightly-colored floral corners. I can't say why exactly this piece reminds me of that. She wasn't particularly partial to flowers nor floral patterns. She was an artist and taught me to paint in oils when I was very young. Almost all of her subject matter were still life's and landscapes with an occasion portrait when commissioned (and for family - mine is in storage.) Cheers to Betty! And to her new little namesake, just born 16 weeks early.
I painted this in a style of dripping and pouring acrylic ink on canvas using methods of resist and saturation.
