Boldbrush First Place winner in the Abstract category in August 2021. This mixed media collage piece is an ode to friendship, lost love and finding my way back into the light. Indomitable came at a point when I was dealing with depression and grief and a friend shared a video of a young gymnast born with no legs who was quite literally indomitable. When my friend said, indomitable, I knew that was the word I would hold onto to get me through my difficulties. When I completed this painting, I named it Indomitable to remind me so much more is possible.
